Community Arts Council of Kankakee

Offers local art programs for children and families. Serves as a central body to promote, develop, and coordinate the efforts among non-profit organizations involved in furthering arts in the Kankakee area to stimulate interest and participation within the community in the arts. Offers Summer Camp Scholarships to students currently in 7th through 12th grade in Kankakee County.

The James F. Carlson Fine Arts Scholarship provides at least one $250 Scholarship for deserving Kankakee County Area students to attend a summer arts camp in the field of dance, music, drama, visual art, creative writing or other fine arts disciplines.
