Kan-Comm 911

In October 2002, the Kankakee County Sheriff and Kankakee City Police and Fire joined dispatch centers and now are under one roof. The facility is managed by the Kankakee County Emergency Telephone Board and is called "KanComm" for Kankakee County Communications Center. Telecommunications Center: Enhanced 911 center that is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Dispatch to local communities police agencies that do not currently have their own 911 dispatch centers including: Aroma Park, Bourbonnais, Bradley, Essex, Grant Park, Herscher, Hopkins Park, Manteno, Momence, St. Anne, Kankakee County Sheriff, Kankakee City Police. - Also dispatch for the following Fire Departments: Aroma Park, Bourbonnais, Bradley, Cabery, Essex, Grant Park, Kankakee Township, Limestone, Manteno, Momence, Otto, Pembroke, Pilot Township, Reddick, Salina Township, St. Anne, and the City of Kankakee.
