We are a Federally funded, locally driven, East Central Illinois workforce (ECIW) development agency operating under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Funds for the project were provided by the U.S. Department of Labors (USDOL) Employment and Training Administration. The workforce division is designed to help eligible veterans, adult low-income, adult basic skills deficient, dislocated workers, and youth regain employment through a variety of services.

Services

Career Services

Job preparation & career exploration such as assistance filling out job applications & mock interviewing. Workplace Skills such as how to dress, good work habits & time managements. Resumes, Cover Letters & References. Training Services, we can pay for a two-year training program in a high-growth occupational area or short-term certificate program. If someone qualifies there is funds available to train individuals for careers in demand. Connect or assistance finding community resources such as Housing Authority, Youth Build, Parkland Adult Education, Urbana Adult Education Center & the Department of Human Services etc. *We utilize ONET Online as one tool for determining demand occupations. Youth Programs

If qualified, we can help with career exploration, job training, and connecting to community resources. We also partner with local organizations to serve youth ages 16-24 with workforce development programs that have a mentoring and work experience component.
