Edward Chipman Library

There is no fee to apply for a library card in the service area. All Momence residents or owners of real estate are eligible to receive a library card. Applications are available at the front desk. Out-of-district families can obtain a card for a fee, or if they have a home library, they can borrow books reciprocally.

Online Catalog Service - helps find books throughout the Edward Chipman Public Library. Online book reserve - allows adults to reserve books online. The website lists numerous database accesses available through EBSCO, which include employment and career resources, along with auto repair and hobby resources.

Assembles, preserves, and administers an organized collection of books and related educational and recreational materials that promote and stimulate ideas and communication, serving to enlighten individual lives. Services include: reference, sing-a-long & story hour for children; summer reading for all ages; and computer access. Other Programs include: Book Club, Lego night, and Trivia night.
